Women Against The Far Right

On 11th September 2025, around 1,000 people gathered online for the launch of the national coalition Women Against The Far Right.

Led by activists, educators, MPs, economists and featuring local Hastings duo Nova Twins, the national campaign aims to counter the misinformation peddled by the far-right that refugees and migrants are a threat to women and children. The campaign highlights both that men involved in the far-right movements are often found to have convictions for violence against women, and that the vast majority of violence against women is perpetuated by the men known to them.

In Hastings, we launched our local campaign on 26th October 2025 with a meeting attended by over 50 women. Speakers discussed the colonial roots of the demonisation of men of colour, as well as the extreme misogyny of the online Men’s Rights Community. You can read more about the meeting here

In February 2026 a group of women began meeting to sew a Hastings Against The Far Right banner.

This group continues to meet monthly. To join this group please contact us!

Our next meeting took place on 19th February 2026 and launched our new leaflet which counters the narratives of the far-right about the threat of migrants and refugees, highlights the policies of Reform which harm women, and gives facts about the violence against women perpetrated by Reform members.
